Ingredients
  

  • - 1 lb ground beef
  • - 1 onion chopped
  • - 2 cloves garlic minced
  • - 1 bell pepper diced
  • - 1 can diced tomatoes
  • - 1 small can tomato sauce
  • - 1 can kidney beans drained
  • - 1 can black beans drained
  • - 2 tbsp chili powder
  • - 1 tsp cumin
  • - 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • - 1/2 tsp oregano
  • - Salt and pepper to taste
  • - 1 cup beef broth
  • - Optional: corn jalapeños, cayenne pepper
  • - Optional toppings: shredded cheese sour cream, green onions

Method
 

  1. - Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  2. - Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until softened and fragrant.
  3. - Stir in the bell pepper, diced tomatoes, and tomato sauce.
  4. - Add the kidney beans and black beans and mix well.
  5. - Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  6. - Pour in the beef broth and stir to combine.
