Simple Pasta with Ground Beef

Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz pasta any shape
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 3 –4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 14 oz tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan
  • Optional: chili flakes basil, mushrooms, splash of cream

Method
 

  1. Boil the pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  2. Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the ground beef until deeply caramelized.
  3. Add onion and garlic; cook until softened and fragrant.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce (or crushed tomatoes) and Italian seasoning.
  5. Simmer for 5–10 minutes to let the flavors blend.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and toss until coated. Use pasta water if needed.
  7. Stir in Parmesan and season with salt, pepper, and optional chili flakes or basil.
